Our Story

It Started With a Lake

Some places become part of your story.

You Know Your Lake Differently

Some places become part of your story. For our family, that place has always been the cottage.

Annually, our family spent our summers by the lake — swimming, boating, exploring the shoreline, and experiencing all of the little traditions that eventually make a place feel like your own.

Years later, those memories are still what make the lake special.

Anyone can look at a lake on a map but when it’s your lake, you recognize it.

You know the bay where the water is usually calm. The island you pass on the way home. The narrow section where everyone slows the boat down. The place where you swim. The shoreline you’ve looked across hundreds of times.
