Lakefront Designs is inspired by Ontario’s lakes, shorelines, and cottage country. Caring about these places also means thinking carefully about how the products we create are made.
We don’t believe in making promises we can’t support. Instead, our approach is simple: create meaningful products, avoid unnecessary inventory where possible, and continue looking for better ways to produce and deliver them.
Made to Order
Many Lakefront Designs products are produced only after an order is placed.
Made-to-order production means we don’t need to keep large quantities of finished posters, apparel, and other products sitting in inventory waiting to be sold. It allows us to create what is actually ordered rather than producing large amounts of merchandise in advance.
Designed to Be Kept
Our lake maps aren’t intended to follow a trend.
They’re designed around places that carry personal meaning — the cottage lake your family has visited for generations, the lake where summers were spent growing up, or the place where new memories are just beginning.
We want the things we create to be pieces people are happy to keep in their homes and cottages for years.
Thoughtful Production
Some Lakefront Designs products are produced and fulfilled by specialized production partners. This allows products to be made individually as they are ordered rather than requiring large runs of pre-produced inventory.

Every Lakefront Designs lake map begins with the lake itself.
Our designs are created in Ontario and inspired by the distinctive shapes, shorelines, communities, and stories that make each lake recognizable to the people who know it best.
We’re Still Learning
Sustainability is not a finished project, and we don’t want to present it that way.
As Lakefront Designs grows, we’ll continue looking for practical opportunities to make thoughtful choices about the products we offer.
